Stephen Mayville, Ph.D. · Licensed Psychologist

You're not bad at this.
You were never taught this.

Nobody hands you the skills for the 7pm meltdown, the limit that won't hold, or the argument you've had eleven times. They are skills. They can be taught, and there's fifty years of research on how.

You can’t stop the hard stretches from coming. You can become skillful enough across all three domains to come through them better — and to live better in between.

Most people can name the part that hurts. Almost nobody can see how the other two are feeding it. Eight minutes gives you all three.

It was never just one problem

Three sentences from the same house, the same week, the same person — and almost nobody connects them.

Monday, 6:40 a.m.

"I'm running on nothing. I've read the same paragraph three times and I still don't know what it said."

Monday, 7:15 p.m.

"I snapped at them again. And now they're acting out more, not less."

Monday, 10:30 p.m.

"It feels like we're not doing anything other than just co-managing a crisis together."

Why one thing at a time keeps failing

Three domains. One system.

Each one is quietly interacting with the other two. That's why fixing one in isolation is often not the entire repair.

What you're actually getting

Not a cure.
Competence.

No honest psychologist can promise you an easy life. What can be promised is skill — that you stop guessing, and start handling all three of these the way someone trained to handle them would. Skill is the part you keep.

Tells you what to think about the problem
Teaches you the skill to use in the moment it is happening
Treats your stress, your kid, and your marriage as three separate purchases
One framework across all three, because they're one system
Works for a week, then you're back where you started
You keep the skill. It works on the next problem too
Someone's philosophy, confidently delivered
CBT and behavior analysis — fifty years of controlled research
You never know if it's working
You re-measure. You watch all three scores move

How it works

You don't start with a library.
You start with a map.

There are 104 lessons inside, each one teaching a specific skill. You’ll never be directed to complete them all at once.

1

Measure all three

Twenty-four questions across parenting, your own head, and your relationship. You get three scores — and you see how they line up against each other.

8 minutes · free
2

Get your starting point

Your answers point to three specific modules, in order. Not the whole curriculum. The part that's load-bearing for you right now.

3

Practice, then re-measure

Work the skills. Come back and take the same measures again. Watch what moves — including the domain you weren't working on.

Who made this

Twenty-two years of watching the same three problems walk in together.

I've spent my career treating adults, kids, and couples — often the same family, in the same week. That's the whole reason this exists. I kept meeting people who'd been handed one book for one problem, when what they actually had was a system.

Everything here is what I’d teach you in my office, in the order I’d teach it. Not theories about your life — skills you practice, in all three places at once.'d teach it.

Before you start

Is this therapy?

No. This is education. It doesn't create a treatment relationship with me and it isn't a substitute for care with a licensed provider. If you're in crisis, this is the wrong thing — call or text 988, and I'll tell you the same thing inside the program.

What's actually in the assessment?

Twenty-four questions, and each pair maps to one specific lesson. The parenting questions are drawn from Functional Assessment, Reinforcement, Extinction Interventions, and Antecedent Interventions — the four that everything else in behavior management rests on. The individual questions come from Emotional Reactivity, Thought Distancing, Anxiety, and Happiness. The relationship questions come from Communication, Behavior Chain Analysis, Behavior Exchange, and Dealing with Differences. Your two lowest-scoring pairs become the lessons you start with. It's a self-reflection tool, not a diagnostic test — the validated clinical measures live inside the member dashboard.

I only came here about one of these. Why all three sections?

Because in 22 years it is extremely frequent that trouble in one domain co-occurs with trouble in the other two. Seeing all three together is usually more useful than seeing one alone. You can skip a section if you want.

What does CBT and behavior analysis actually mean here?

Two of the most heavily researched approaches in psychology, and both are skills-training models rather than talk models. Behavior analysis is what schools contracted with me for. You won't need the vocabulary — you'll just learn what to do.

Will you charge my card during the trial?

No. Card at signup, nothing charged for seven days, cancel by day 8 and you pay nothing. I'll email you before the charge, not after.

What happens to my answers?

They're stored so you can come back to your results and re-measure later. They're not sold and not shared. Full detail in the privacy policy.

This is education, not therapy. Not One Problem teaches evidence-based skills. It does not create a treatment relationship and it isn't a substitute for care with a licensed provider. If you're in crisis, call or text 988.
